1. Introduction

PrintShark ("PrintShark", "we", "us", or "our") is an automated print-on-demand studio for Etsy sellers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. PrintShark connects to your Etsy shop via OAuth and to Printify, and it uses third-party AI providers to generate designs and copy. By using PrintShark, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide and improve the service:

  • Account information. Your name and email address when you create an account.
  • Waitlist email. If you join our waitlist, the email address you submit so we can notify you at launch.
  • Etsy data (via OAuth). When you connect your Etsy shop, we access the shop and listing data needed to operate the service, for example creating, updating, and managing listings on your behalf. We request only the scopes required for these features.
  • Printify data (via OAuth/API). Product, mockup, and fulfillment data needed to create products and route orders through your print provider.
  • Content you generate. Prompts, generated artwork, mockups, titles, tags, and descriptions created within PrintShark.
  • Usage data. Basic technical and usage information, such as actions taken in the app, device and browser type, and log data, to keep the service running and to improve it.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide the core service: discover niches, generate designs and SEO copy, and queue or publish listings to your Etsy shop.
  • Create products and mockups and route fulfillment through Printify.
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Communicate with you about your account, the waitlist, and launch or service updates.
  • Monitor, maintain, debug, and improve PrintShark.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Third-party services

PrintShark relies on trusted third-party services to provide its features. When you use the relevant feature, the data needed for that feature may be shared with the applicable provider, subject to their own terms and privacy policies:

  • Etsy API, to connect your shop and manage listings on your behalf.
  • Printify API, to create products and mockups and route fulfillment.
  • AI providers, to help generate artwork and copy.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Pinterest, if you connect them, to publish the social posts and Pins of your products that you schedule or approve. See Pinterest below.
  • Stripe, our payment processor, to process payments and securely store your payment method for subscriptions, top-ups, and automatic usage charges. Your card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored on PrintShark's servers. See Stripe's privacy policy.

These providers process data only to deliver the requested feature. We encourage you to review each provider's privacy policy to understand how they handle data.

5. Data storage & security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including encryption in transit and access controls on sensitive data such as OAuth tokens. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to safeguard your data and to limit access to what is necessary to operate the service.

6. OAuth tokens

When you connect Etsy, Printify, Pinterest, Facebook or Instagram, we store the resulting OAuth access tokens securely, on a per-shop basis. We use these tokens only to act on your behalf within the service, for example to manage your listings, create products, or publish the Pins you approve, and never to access anything beyond the granted scopes. You can revoke PrintShark's access at any time from the connected service's account settings, from PrintShark's Settings, or by contacting us, after which we will no longer be able to act on your behalf and will delete the associated tokens.

Pinterest

If you connect a Pinterest account, PrintShark drafts a Pin for each of your published Etsy listings: a picture of your product, a title, a description, a board and a link to the listing, written from your own listing data. Nothing is published to Pinterest until you review that specific Pin and approve it. You can edit the text and choose the board first, publish it right away or schedule it, and withdraw an approval any time before the Pin goes out.

  • What we access: your Pinterest username and account type (to show which account is connected) and your board names (so you can pick a board). Both are read live from Pinterest when needed and are not saved. We use the user_accounts:read, boards:read, boards:write, pins:read and pins:write scopes. We do not read your home feed, followers, other people's Pins, or your analytics.
  • What we store: the OAuth tokens Pinterest issues, your Pin drafts and approvals, and the links of Pins published through PrintShark.
  • What we never do: sell or share information from Pinterest, use it for advertising, combine it with other users' data, or use it to train or improve any AI model. The AI tools that draft your Pins work only from your Etsy listing data.
  • Disconnect and deletion: Settings → Pinterest → Disconnect deletes the stored tokens and cancels any approved Pin that hasn't gone out. You can also remove PrintShark at Pinterest Settings → Apps. To delete your drafts and the record of published Pins, email hello@printshark.studio. Pins already on Pinterest are yours to keep or delete on Pinterest.

7. Cookies & local storage

PrintShark uses cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the service is used. If you join the waitlist on this site, the email you enter is sent to our server so we can contact you at launch (a copy is also kept in your own browser, which you can clear with your browser's site data).

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, export, or delete it, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@printshark.studio and we'll respond in accordance with applicable law. You can also revoke connected-account access (Etsy or Printify) at any time.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you close your account or revoke access, we delete or anonymize associated data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.

10. Children's privacy

PrintShark is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of PrintShark after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
